WhatsApp Unveils New Features : Edit Message and Video Note

WhatsApp is reportedly working on an edit message feature, allowing users to modify sent messages within a 15-minute window. This feature will enable users to correct mistakes or add information to a sent message without deleting it entirely or sending a new one.

The edited messages will display an “edited” label for both sender and receiver. Initially being developed for iOS users, the feature will be exclusive to the latest WhatsApp version and will apply only to text messages, not media captions. Beta testing is expected to commence soon.

In addition to the edit message feature, WhatsApp is developing a “Video Message” feature for iOS users. This function will let users send 60-second short video notes, similar to voice notes. Video notes will be end-to-end encrypted, ensuring privacy for the sender and receiver.

Lastly, an improved version of WhatsApp for Windows has been launched, featuring enhanced performance and group management controls.
