As of December 31, more than 49 devices are no longer supported by WhatsApp. This is because the messaging app frequently releases updates, and older devices can’t keep up. For example, on October 24, WhatsApp stopped working on iPhones running iOS 10 and iOS 11. The messaging app is no longer available on a number of old Android smartphones including few iPhones models.
It’s not uncommon to see outdated smartphones still in use today, but unfortunately, WhatsApp will no longer be available on them. If your device is on the list, you won’t be able to use WhatsApp anymore. Here’s the full list of affected smartphones, sorted alphabetically to make it easier to find:
