Automate WhatsApp replies

WhatsApp, the world’s most popular messaging service, also has a version for businesses that offers basic automated responses. For those who do not know about WhatApp business API, it enables businesses to send notifications as well as to respond to customer inquiries and support requests in a more efficient and timely manner.

Developer Daniel Gross created WhatsApp-GPT as an open-source project available on Github based on OpenAI’s chatbot, ChatGPT. It allows users to integrate ChatGPT with WhatsApp. The integration runs via the terminal using Python and Golang programming languages. Users must run two scripts, one in Golang and a server script in Python, and can test a “multichat” script. However, it’s important to note that WhatsApp does not currently support any third-party integrations with ChatGPT. On the same note, The Indian Express reported that the Ministry of Electronics and IT is developing a WhatsApp-based chatbot called Bhashini that uses information from ChatGPT to answer queries. Microsoft is also previewing a revamped version of Bing that allows users to access an AI-powered version of the search engine based on OpenAI’s GPT 3.5 technology. However, Microsoft has set a limit of five consecutive queries after some users reported disparaging responses.
