Twitter CEO Elon Musk has announced that the social media platform will now distribute ad revenue with content creators who have subscribed to the “Twitter Blue Verified” plan. This new arrangement will apply to ads that appear in their reply threads. To be eligible, users must be a subscriber to Twitter Blue Verified. Users have expressed their thoughts on Musk’s announcement, with some asking about the revenue split and others inquiring about how this change will be implemented logistically. Previously, Twitter updated the features for its Blue service, which includes prioritized rankings in conversations for subscribers, the ability to upload videos up to 60 minutes in length with 1080p resolution and 2GB in file size, and the requirement for all videos to comply with the company’s rules.
